Our Extrait de Parfum concentration lasts 6–8 hours on skin, and longer on fabric. Skin hydration, body heat, and the weather all play a role — for best results, apply to pulse points on moisturised skin.
Extrait de Parfum contains 15–40% fragrance oil — the highest concentration available. This means fewer sprays for longer wear, a richer opening, and more complex scent evolution throughout the day. It is the format we use for every Lakescent fragrance.
Lakescent fragrances project at medium-to-strong intensity — noticeable to those nearby without being overpowering. Woody and Warm families tend to have stronger sillage; Fresh and Green families sit closer to the skin.
Top notes are the first impression: bright and fleeting, lasting around 15–30 minutes. Middle notes (heart notes) emerge next and form the core character. Base notes appear last and linger for hours, creating the dry down that makes each fragrance personal.
Dry down is what a fragrance becomes after the top notes fade. As the perfume oil warms on your skin and interacts with your body chemistry, the scent transforms. This is where a fragrance’s true personality reveals itself — and why wearing it for at least 30 minutes before judging is always worth it.
Yes — layering two Lakescent fragrances is a great way to build your own signature scent. Woody + Fresh combinations layer particularly well. Our Layering Bundle (Arcadia 30ml + Arcadia 50ml) is specifically designed for this purpose.
Anosmia is the temporary inability to perceive a scent you’ve been wearing too long — your nose adapts and filters it out. This is completely normal. Switch fragrances for a day, or ask someone nearby: they will almost certainly still detect yours clearly.
This is called bottle shock — a temporary change in scent profile caused by agitation during shipping. Let the bottle rest at room temperature for 24–48 hours before evaluating. The scent should return to its intended character. If the issue persists, contact our team.
